Kienow Beef, now in it's fifth generation, is ran by farmer & rancher Dan Kienow in Knox County, Nebraska.
Being born and raised in Northeast Nebraska and learning the family farm profession from his father and grandfather, Dan learned to appreciate honesty, family values and the satisfaction of a hard day’s work. During his 22 years in the military Dan was instilled with discipline and attention to detail.
Dan's experiences abroad has led him to appreciate this great country we live in and the rural community he grew up in. That’s why he came back to the family farm where his children can be raised and experience the freedoms he enjoyed as a child.
Now he wants to share with you the pleasure of quality, home raised, corn fed, steroid and hormone free Kienow Beef.
Kienow Beef's Commitment to Quality Beef
Kienow Beef finishes hand selected calves from their own cow calf operation. All cattle are fed with grass, hay and corn. We do not inject our cattle with growth hormones or steroids. We follow the Nebraska Beef Quality Assurance Program, which promotes best animal husbandry practices. Kienow Beef assures you that your beef is not coming from a large commercial feedlot where the animals are confined in small spaces. Our operation is small, offering quality over quantity.

How it works
Make a down payment
Place a down payment for a 1/4, 1/2 3/4, full cow or more using one of the purchase buttons above, we'll then put your name on one of upcoming cattle when they go to market.
**NO LOCKER PROCESSING FEE**
Cattle goes to market
Approximately two weeks before our cattle go to the market you'll receive an email notification letting you know that you can expect an invoice for the remaining balance of your order. The final amount is determined by the meat weight after processing.
Pickup your order
Once your remaining invoice is paid you'll receive details on where and when you can pick up your beef order. We look forward to doing business with you again.

Each one-quarter of beef is approximately 100-130 lbs and includes the following cuts:

Good Rule of Thumb: One cubic foot will hold 35 to 40 lbs of packaged and wrapped meat.
Following that the next batch of beef will be ready in February 2025.

ECONOMY MEAT BUNDLE (8th Quarter of Beef)
Each 8th of beef is approximately 50-60 lbs and is 1/2 of the meat cuts on 1 quarter.
